One the one hand, disqualifying certain foods from being covered by EBT cards might not be a bad thing if it is being done with the intent of driving off the system those who could work but won't work but on the other hand, what about those who are unable to work due to a disability (i.e. crippling injury or ongoing illness)? Should they be penalized as well? I must admit my feelings are mixed on this one. There has got to be a way to drive those who are exploiting and abusing the system out of their laziness without punishing those who are not able to work like every able-bodied person can.
