Walt Disney World Plans Big Renovations At Several Resort Hotels

When it comes to a Walt Disney World vacation, many people like to plan things well in advance. Disney understands that its resorts and parks are both magical and extremely expensive. Disney does its very best to make the experience one that families will never forget. They are constantly performing maintenance, updates, and renovations to ensure a top-notch experience for everyone. But, these renovations could alter a family’s vacation plans. Disney does its best to announce closures and projects well in advance, allowing guests to plan accordingly. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Walt Disney World (@waltdisneyworld) The Next Few Months Could Be Hectic At Some Walt Disney World Resorts According to the Disney Tourist Blog, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Villas, Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Riviera Resort, and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort each have current or upcoming planned renovations. Here are a few things to look out for. Maestro Mickey’s at the All Star Music Resort will undergo renovations between now and October 2025. The store will remain open, but guests may see and hear construction. The All Star Sports Resort’s Surfboard Bay Pool and kiddie pool will close for refurbishment from January 2026 to April 2026. At that time, the Grand Slam Leisure Pool at Disney’s All-Star Sports will continue operating as usual. Guests can also swim at other All Star Resort pools during this time. The Zebra Trail terrace at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be open until September 2025. From October 2025 to May 2026, the Kidani Village rooms will undergo refurbishment, followed by the Jambo House from May 2026 through January 2027. At Disney’s Beach Club, the porte cocheres will be closed from now until October 2025. The resort’s Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts are reopened after recent maintenance. The Contemporary Resort is currently undergoing renovations to Bay Lake Tower and the Convention Center, scheduled to be completed by July 2026. From January 2026 to May 2026, Bay Cove Pool, the water play area, and the whirlpool spa at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will undergo renovations.
