Baker’s twine and some yarns might work too, but you want something that is flexible and that won’t fray. You’ll need about 10 to 12 inches. From the middle of your string, wrap it around the nail you intend to hang your picture on. Pass both ends of the thread through the triangle, D-ring, or round hanger on the back of the frame. Turn your picture face-out and pull the string gently until the hanger rests on the nail. Then grasp one end of your string and pull gently to remove it from the nail until you have another picture to hang. Try This Picture-Hanging Tip For Frames With Wires If you think that picture-hanging tip was genius, wait until you see this next one. This is for frames that have a hanging wire on the back. You’ll need a fork from the kitchen. How innovative is that? Place the fork tines over the nail, then use the handle to guide the wire right to the nail. When the wire is on the nail, remove the fork, wash it, and put it back in the drawer. With these two picture-hanging tips, you will be able to easily hang almost every picture in your home.
