Riley Green Brings Young Fan On Stage For Performance Of “You Look Like You Love Me” At Red Rocks, & She Nailed It
Living a lot of people’s dreams.
Just days away from the release of the deluxe edition of Don’t Mind If I Do, Riley Green played his second-ever headlining show last night at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado, to a sold-out crowd of over 9,000. His performance comes on the heels of fellow country giants, Zach Bryan and Eric Church, both of whom recently performed at the venue back in July.
Despite Ella Langley not performing as she continues to battle an illness throughout the month of August, openers, Drake White and Hannah McFarland, set the stage for what can only be described as a perfect night in Morrison for fans of the “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” singer.
After treating fans to past hits such as “Different Round Here,” “Rather Be” and “Half of Me,” as well as a cover of Jamey Johnson’s “In Color,” Green decided to keep the tradition of performing “you look like you love me” sans Langley.
If you recall, Green has been performing the monster track without Langley over the past month, employing fans to come up on stage to perform the song with him and, most famously, calling on Dasha back on August 16th to less-than-favorable reviews from fans.
Despite it being Langley’s song, you can’t really blame him for continuing to perform the song. It’s been nothing short of inescapable since its release on June 21, 2024. Racking up over 236 million streams on Spotify alone, the song netted the duo three ACM Awards back in April for Single, Music Event and Visual Media of the Year. Additionally, it’s been one of the most-played songs on Billboard’s new TouchTunes Frontline chart, peaking at #6 throughout the second quarter of 2025.
Back to last night’s Red Rocks show, Green pulled a young fan from the crowd to perform “you look like you love me,” and she absolutely crushed it. The girl, who couldn’t have been older than 10 years old, was nothing short of a natural on stage with the Alabama native and delivered a flawless rendition of the song in place of Langley.
Whenever an artist brings a fan on stage, especially one that young, you never really know what to expect. Besides the obvious lack of musical talent that your average concert-goer has, stage fright is also a huge thing when someone is performing to a crowd of over 9,000. Luckily for Green and the young girl, she was an absolute natural up there. There are a few moments where I’m genuinely impressed by a fan coming up on stage, but this is a rare exception, especially from someone so young.
After giving the young fan a night she certainly will never forget, Green closed the show out with performances of Toby Keith’s “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” and “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,” multiple songs with McFarland including “Don’t Mind If I Do” and recent hits such as “Jesus Saves” and “Worst Way.”
