Chosen 9/5 Glenn Hughes: Chosen “When writing ‘Chosen’, I went back to my life drawing board, writing about the human condition, love, hope, faith and acceptance.,” said Hughes.  “Songwriting is deeply personal to me, and l generally write and record when I have something to say.” The lead single was “Voice In My Head.‘  “(It) tells the story of what’s goin’ on in my subconscious mind,” Hughes added. “It’s a song that most definitely needed to be written. Very therapeutic.” Hughes is likely best known for his stint with Deep Purple. Mirador 9/19 Mirador: Mirador (Self-Titled) The debut album from the band with Greta Van Fleet co-founder Jake Kiszka, holds the singles “Feels Like Gold” and “Fortune’s Fate.” “’Feels Like Gold’ weaves together themes of cultural collision, the relentless pursuit of riches, and the complexities of history,” offered the band. They add that “‘Fortune’s Fate‘ is a song of yearning and escape, one that embodies the quest for freedom and self-discovery.” Die About It Deluxe Edition 9/19 Bad Wolves: Die About It Deluxe Edition The package contains nine new tracks, including a re-worked version of “Say It Again” featuring Lauri Ylönen from The Rasmus. “This song has always meant a lot to me — I’ve always loved it — but I never expected it to evolve the way it did with The Rasmus,” noted Bad Wolves founder/drummer John Boecklin. “In my opinion, it’s some of the best lyricism on the album, and I’m really glad it’s finally getting the spotlight it deserves. It’s truly some of our best work.” Spit XXV 9/19 Kittie: Spit XXV Kittie’s “Spit XXV” marks the 25th anniversary of their gold-certified debut album (“Spit”). The EP has updated and re-recorded versions of four of the album’s most impactful tracks: “Spit,” “Brackish,” “Charlotte” and “Do You Think I’m A Whore.” “There is something truly unexplainable in why our debut album is still resonating with people, finding a new audience and has had such a lasting impact on so many,” noted Kittie vocalist/guitarist Morgan Lander. Beat: Live! 9/26 Beat: Live! King Crimson members Adrian Belew and Tony Levin along with guitar virtuoso Steve Vai and Tool drummer Danny Carey are Beat. They offer creative reinterpretations of ’80’s King Crimson albums “Discipline,” “Beat” and “Three Of A Perfect Pair.” “You’re walking on stage with three virtuoso musicians, world-class professionals who have seen it all but are still having fun playing this music which is timeless and unlike anything done before or since,” Belew reflected. Shine Apple 9/26 Mother Love Bone: Shine & Apple The “Shine” EP originally released in ’89 and seminal the ’90 full-length debut “Apple” are reissued. Mother Love Bone formed in ’87 and made it to ’90. Frontman Andrew Wood’s charisma and songwriting helped to catapult the group to the top of the burgeoning Seattle music scene. Days before “Apple” was slated to be released, Wood overdosed on heroin ending the group. Guitarist Stone Gossard and bassist Jeff Ament went on to form Pearl Jam.
