“The Wildest Decade In Music” Exhibit
“‘80s Rock: The Wildest Decade In Music” will come to the Grammy Museum Mississippi (800 West Sunflower Road, Cleveland, MS) next month. The exhibit explores how genres like Hair Metal and Glam Metal became popular and why their fans remain so loyal to this day.
Sponsored by The Maddox Foundation, the “’80s Rock: The Wildest Decade In Music“ exhibit will open to the public on Friday, September 26th and feature artifacts and memorabilia from bands who had a major impact during that decade (Guns N’ Roses, Poison, Skid Row Ratt, Dep Leppard and Vixen).
Exhibits on display through 2026 include:
* Ozzy Osbourne: stage costume* Mötley Crüe: drum kit* Def Leppard: Washburn bass* Guns N’ Roses: “Appetite For Destruction” lithograph* Nancy Wilson (Heart): Worn pink bodice* Lita Ford: Black Widow guitar and outfit* Poison: autographed guitars/signed memorabilia* Ratt: Stage Guitar
Grammy Museum Mississippi is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Museum is closed on Mondays.
