Summer Walker is an American singer-songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. She began her music career by posting covers and original songs on the internet while working as a cleaner and running a small business. Walker signed with LoveRenaissance (LVRN), an Atlanta-based label, and Interscope Records in 2017. She released her debut commercial mixtape, Last Day of Summer, in October 2018. The mixtape included the single “Girls Need Love,” which gained widespread attention and later featured Drake on its official remix. The remix propelled the song into the Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at number 37.
