UPDATE: President Trump Releases Video of Military Strike on Venezuelan Drug Boat "U.S. Military Forces conducted a strike against Tren de Aragua Narcoterrorists. "And it'll happen again. Maybe it's happening right now, I don't know," Rubio said on Wednesday, noting that the president will "wage war" against "narcoterrorist organizations." Fox News Digital reached out to Fetterman's office on Thursday to request additional comment from Fetterman or a spokesperson regarding the senator's apparent expression of support for the Trump administration's use of lethal military force to combat drug trafficking into the U.S. but did not receive a response by the time of publication. "The president is going to be on offense against drug cartels and drug trafficking in the United States," Rubio said. "It destabilizes not just the country but the entire Caribbean Basin," he continued. The recent moves have prompted warnings from Venezuelan officials and raised questions on the scope and legal basis of U.S. operations in the region. The State Department has designated Tren de Aragua as a foreign terrorist organization and U.S. officials have moved warships and personnel into the southern Caribbean in recent weeks as part of counternarcotics operations. Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro warned that increased U.S. military activity could produce what he called a "republic in arms" and ordered troop deployments along coasts and borders in response to U.S. actions.
