Niall Horan was born on September 13, 1993, in Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland. His music career began when he auditioned for the seventh series of The X Factor in 2010 as a solo contestant. Although eliminated as a solo artist, he was brought back to form the group One Direction with four other contestants—Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik.
