“Walking For The First Time In My New Prosthetic Legs Without Help”

Prosthetic legs can be life-changing. Neo KirchBaby understands this well. She was born with a birth defect, something she explained in a video detailing her journey as a double amputee. Essentially, she was crippled from the knees down. Doctors said that, if she were to keep her legs, her movement would be more limited than if they were removed. So, at a young age, both legs were amputated. Since then, Neo has found a number of ways to adapt, like using a wheelchair or walking with prosthetic legs. No matter her years of experience, walking in a new pair of prosthetics takes time. This is true, in part, because there’s a period of time in which they’re not very comfortable. Luckily, Neo recently reached a huge milestone with her newest prosthetics. Watch the video below to see her in action! “I had a stroke 3 years ago so now when I walk I am a little bit unstable, and to see you do this it’s an inspiration…” someone shares in reply to Neo’s video. Other commenters add, “Congratulations… I’m going thru this exact same thing right now. God bless your AMAZING progress” and “You are doing great mama. Proud of you.” Woman Shares Milestone Moment of Walking with Her New Prosthetic Legs for the First Time without Help This viral video has people elated over Neo’s progress. In fact, folks are checking back in to see if she’s able to use these new legs in her everyday life yet. At the time of this writing, that’s still a work in progress. But, as Neo explains in the video below, it’s all a part of the process! It seems that patience is key in situations like this one. Considering that Neo is a mom to four kids, including twins, she’s certainly no stranger to this virtue! You can find the source of this story’s featured image here!
