The Country Music Association made a big announcement on September 30. The sweet-talkin’, bell-bottom-wearing, sassy Lainey Wilson will host the 2025 CMA Awards. Last year, Lainey joined Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning for the show, but this time, she’ll do it all on her own. According to a release from the CMA, this will be a big night for Lainey because she’s “tied for the most nominations at this year’s awards, including a prestigious nod for Entertainer of the Year,” and she “will lead the star-studded evening as the CMA Awards shine a spotlight on the industry’s most outstanding talent and unforgettable moments,” per the release. Laney Wilson Feels Honored To Host The CMAs Laney Wilson is thrilled to have such an important role on Country Music’s Biggest Night. “I grew up watching the CMA Awards like it was the Super Bowl, so to be hosting for a second year is a true honor,” she said in a statement. “I’m humbled that CMA has trusted me with this role, and I can’t wait to love on this genre that has given me so much.” Fans can’t wait to watch Lainey Wilson host the CMAs. “I’m sure you’ll nail down a few of those awards my dream girl best wishes,” a fan wrote. “Let me get my formal bell bottoms ready,” another person wrote. This fan loves to see Lainey and wasn’t surprised she was asked to host. “When you sparkle that bright OF COURSE you’re hosting,” they wrote. This fan’s already campaigning for Lainey Wilson to move from the CMAs to the Super Bowl. “She should be the next Super Bowl halftime show,” they wrote.
