Paralyzed Dogs Meet For A Playdate & We Can’t Handle The Cuteness

Being disabled looks different for everyone. And with the right accommodations and support, it’s more than possible to live a happy life. This is true for both us humans and our animal friends. Tyrion and Luna are the perfect (and most adorable) examples around. You see, these two dogs are paralyzed. So, to help them walk around, they have some pretty cool devices… wheelchairs! As you’d imagine, wheelchairs for dogs look a bit different from human wheelchairs. Since Tyrion and Luna have back legs that no longer work, they have their wheelchairs attached to their backsides. This allows them to move much faster than they would otherwise. Both of them are still getting used to life with a wheelchair, as seen during their playdate below! @diggydagg Tyrion had the best time meeting Luna And it’s always fun for me to meet other paralyzed dog owners and talk about all the ups, downs, techniques, what works, what doesn’t, etc. Owning a disabled dog can be really difficult but these little reminders that we’re not alone are so incredibly helpful and heartwarming #wheelchairdog #dogsoftiktok #paralyzeddog #dogdate ♬ The Kite Luisa Marion – luisa_marion_music “Someone turn this into a children’s book,” someone suggested in reply to this popular video. Other commenters added, “They were both like ‘Wait… you’ve got wheels too?!!'” and “Ok but can we talk about the problem-solving when they got stuck?!!! So smart!!!” Paralyzed Dogs’ First Playdate Couldn’t Have Gone Better Wheelchairs on or off, it’s clear that Tyrion and Luna are becoming the very best of friends. It’ll be fun to see how their interactions with each other change as they get more accustomed to their wheelchairs. Until then, these parents are happy to take things one day at a time, something you learn to do when you have a disabled pet. “Tyrion had the best time meeting Luna,” the caption of the video reads. “And it’s always fun for me to meet other paralyzed dog owners and talk about all the ups, downs, techniques, what works, what doesn’t, etc. Owning a disabled dog can be really difficult but these little reminders that we’re not alone are so incredibly helpful and heartwarming.” You can find the source of this story’s featured image here!
