Rockpile came together in London during the mid 1970s, built around the talents of guitarist and vocalist Dave Edmunds and bassist Nick Lowe. Both men had already established reputations through solo work, but when they began collaborating they developed one of the tightest live bands of the era. The lineup was solidified with guitarist Billy Bremner and drummer Terry Williams, giving Rockpile the energy and precision that would define their short but celebrated run.
