The KPop Demon Hunters love keeps on giving. Today, we found out that Netflix is re-releasing the film in theaters over Halloween weekend.
That’s right, theaters across the country will once again host the sing-along version of the movie from Friday, October 31, through Sunday, November 2. Fans are also encouraged to come to their screenings dressed as characters from the film. And if my Facebook mom groups are any indication, many, many people will show up to the theater sporting their favorite character’s look. (Netflix would also like you to know that they have licensed costumes at Spirit Halloween stores and also on their online Netflix Shop. Yay, capitalism!)
The movie, for those who have yet to have the pleasure of watching, centers on K-pop superstars Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, who—in addition to being music icons—protect the world from demons through their music. Demon Hunters features a sick soundtrack as well, which is playing on repeat in many households where at least one child aged six to sixteen resides.
Looking to get some singing in before the holiday weekend? Netflix has you covered: Both the original and sing-along versions are, of course, streaming on their platform, along with “lyric videos,” where you can sing specific songs from the movie over and over and over while you wait for All Hallows’ Eve to see the movie on the big screen.
