Making this little girl’s dream come true. Earlier this month, a little girl, named Millie,  from Missouri took the internet by storm with her adorable performance of Lainey Wilson’s “Somewhere Over Laredo.” The young girl hit the stage to perform her retiring queen talent at a local pageant, and took the world by storm with her confidence and ability to clearly sing the lyrics of the recently released song. The Millie’s mother shared that last year she won the pageant by shooting her bow and arrow, but traded her archery skills for bell bottom jeans. Talk about a young woman of many talents! The video took off online, leading Wilson to drop a comment sharing how much she loved this performance: “Superstar!! You sure hit it out of the park and did Lainey proud!” After the video took off, and got Lainey Wilson’s attention, many viewers hoped that this young superfan would get to meet Lainey Wilson soon. Her mother shared they were planning on attending Wilson’s show in St. Louis, and sure enough, they met the “Hang Tight Honey” singer back stage. The little girl was sporting the same sparkly bell bottoms as she did in the viral moment, and Lainey Wilson was in awe of Millie as they met: “Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? I get to meet the real Lainey Wilson!?” Wilson says as she gives the little girl a big bear hug. You can tell that Millie is a little timid meeting her idol, but you can also tell that she is in awe of Wilson and is taking in the moment fully. Wilson then leads Millie into singing “Somewhere Over Laredo.” The moment, just like the first viral video, melts your heart as a viewer. This moment will last forever in this little girl’s mind, and it’s a reminder that Lainey Wilson is more than a country star, but role model for so many young girls.
