Israel will undoubtedly condemn it as antisemitism and say that only Hamas should be condemned. But should Israel get away with systematically dismantling civilian infrastructure and food sources? Shooting children in the head and chest? Soldiers who practice what is called “patterns of aim”? Doctors who worked in Gaza report that they began to recognize days where most incoming children had the same type of wound — first to the limbs, later to the torso or head — as if someone was “training” or “testing accuracy.” U.S. leaders will pretend that they don’t know that while the Vice President visits Israel this week.
