At least three people died and two others were hospitalized after a gruesome multi-vehicle crash on a California highway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the violent crash happened Tuesday in Ontario around 1 p.m. on the westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway just east of the 15 Freeway.
The pile-up included “as many as eight vehicles, including four semi-trucks,” ABC7 Los Angeles noted.
Dashcam footage shows a semi-truck crashing into the back of an SUV and ramming into other vehicles.
CHP officials arrested the 21-year-old driver of the semi-truck on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.

Sky5 footage from the scene showed four tractor-trailers and four other vehicles were involved in the pileup, including one vehicle that was too badly charred and mangled to determine the make or model.
In addition to three people who died, two other people were hospitalized with serious injuries, authorities said.
The collision forced the closure of all westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway, except for FasTrak, causing extensive backups throughout the Inland Empire.
