Morgan Wallen Asked To Fix His Hair Before His Most Recent Mugshot So It Didn’t Look Like His 2020 Mugshot
Gotta look good for the cameras.
By now we all know what happened with Morgan Wallen’s infamous chair throwing incident that occurred at Eric Church’s downtown Nashville bar, Chief’s, last year. The country music superstar was arrested and charged with three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct after throwing a chair off the roof of the building, and later pled guilty to misdemeanor reckless endangerment in Davidson County court in December of last year.
Morgan was ultimately sentenced to two years of probation and seven days in jail, to be served at a DUI education center.
But it wasn’t his first run-in with the law here in Nashville.
Back in 2020, Morgan was arrested after an incident at Kid Rock’s downtown bar and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct for reportedly breaking a glass, which the country singer later apologized for:
“Hey y’all just wanted to clear the air. I went out downtown last night with a few old friends. After a couple bar stops, we were horse-playing with each other. We didn’t mean any harm, and we want to say sorry to any bar staff or anyone that was affected.”
The charges have since been expunged from Morgan’s record, but unfortunately he does have one reminder from that night that he’s not able to make go away: His mugshot.
You probably remember the photo that’s since gone viral of a disheveled Morgan Wallen posing for the camera:

Maybe not the best picture he’s ever taken, but hey, it happens.
The photo obviously was everywhere after it was released, being plastered on t-shirts and all over social media. And when Morgan was arrested last year, he wanted to make sure that his new mugshot looked a little better than the first one.
In newly-released body cam footage, the country music superstar can be heard asking if they’re going to have to take another mugshot of him as the officer pulls up his photo from last time:
“Do I gotta take another picture?”
The officer informs him that he’ll indeed have to be photographed again, and Morgan jokes with the cop about making sure he looks better in this one:
“Can you make sure I got my hair looking decent? You got a comb?”
Well he’s in luck because the officer does indeed have a comb, and lets him take off his hat and fix his hair before going inside to be booked, with Morgan also noting that he’s in a lot better place in his life now than he was 4 years ago when he was “mad at the world.”
“I’m gonna smile this time too. Should I smile? I’m a lot happier than I was then. I used to be mad. I’m not no more.”
Overall, Morgan and the cops were nothing but polite and professional with each other. There wasn’t any “I can’t believe you’re doing this, don’t you know who I am?” from one of the world’s biggest artists. Just a guy who got himself in a tough spot and was ready to take his lumps for it.
And for the record, his mugshot looked a lot better this time around.
