“Showing Your True Colors” – Some Of Miranda Lambert’s Fans Were NOT Happy To See Her On Joe Rogan’s Podcast

Color me shocked… Yesterday, Miranda Lambert was the guest on Joe Rogan’s extremely popular Joe Rogan Experience podcast this week, where they covered a wide array of topics during their almost two and a half hour conversation, ranging from her golf journey, getting involved in mounted shooting, missing the road during the pandemic, some of her tour rider staples and much more. It was a pretty relaxed conversation, and it was really funny to see Rogan’s reaction to the fact that Miranda still, to this day, has girl fights break out at nearly every concert. She actually had to change the order of her set list because of it. At the end Joe confessed how much fun he had chatting with Miranda, and if you actually watched the pod, you could tell he really meant it… it all felt pretty effortless for a pair of strangers. But because of the past controversies of the podcast in terms of Rogan having on political figures and other guests certain people don’t like, it can be considered “risky,” I guess, for someone who doesn’t want to be viewed as political in any way to go on the podcast now. So I’m not surprised at all to see some of Miranda’s fans are upset to see that she agreed to appear on his podcast, which was evidenced in the comments section on the clip she shared on her Instagram page and other social media accounts yesterday where she’s talking about fate with Rogan: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Miranda Lambert (@mirandalambert) But some of her fans, who more than likely know nothing about Joe Rogan and never watched a single episode of podcast, weren’t so happy to hear what she had to say. Many left comments like the following about this episode: “Weird for such and awesome woman to continually entangle with such problematic men. As a long time fan, very disappointing. You could do so much better!” “Miranda sings All Kinds of Kinds but goes on podcast of man that has built platform against all kinds of kinds.” “Well this is disappointing.” “Wow, this is really disappointing. Especially with your support of the drag and LGBTQ communities, this is pretty unexpected.” “Love Miranda and her music. Joe Rogan-ugh.” “This is so disappointing as a queer fan from the south. Miranda taught me that I could love myself and country music at the same time; after how outspoken she has been for LGBT+ rights, I expect better than this.” “No ma’am. This is not okay.” “Girrrrl…really?” “She joining the Turning Point halftime show too?” “Yikes. Not a good look for any woman to give him the time of day.” “Ew.” “Showing your true colors” “She’s a loon.” The conversation is hardly political at all in nature, I don’t even think they talked about politics at all, and only had a brief discussion about how you can never make everyone happy on social media or in life in general. But I have to think it would be nearly impossible to turn down the opportunity to appear on the biggest podcast in the world, and I found it to be a really interested, politics-free conversation which only made it that much better in my humble opinion. At the end of the day, a number of people have a perception of Joe solely based on what they’ve heard from friends or the clowns in the mainstream media. He’s a relatively moderate guy, but hey… what is nuance anymore, right?
