2026 Yamaha WR125R Preview

2026 Yamaha WR125R in Team Yamaha Blue The 2026 Yamaha WR125R is a new entry-level dual-sport designed to be approachable and affordable. Yamaha says it begins arriving in dealerships this month.  The WR125R is powered by a fuel-injected 125cc liquid-cooled Single with Variable Valve Actuation, which uses two intake cam profiles, one for low rpm and the other for high rpm. It has a 6-speed transmission, and Yamaha claims it has a range of nearly 200 miles from its 2.1-gallon fuel tank.  The bike uses a semi-double cradle frame. KYB suspension includes a 41mm fork and linkage-type rear shock that offer 8.5 inches of travel up front and 7.3 inches in the rear. Slowing things down are a 2-piston front caliper pinching a 267mm disc and a 1-piston rear caliper on a 220mm disc, and the bike comes with front-only ABS.  The WR125R offers an upright seating position and includes a flat motocross-style seat and wide motocross-style footpegs. It has 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels wrapped in Dunlop D605 dual-sport tires. It has a rake of 28.3 degrees, a trail of 4.6 inches, a seat height of 34.3 inches, a wet weight of 304 lb, and a ground clearance of 9.4 inches.  The bike also comes with an LCD display that offers Yamah Motorcycle Connect smartphone connectivity. Using the Y-Connect app, riders can view incoming calls, emails, and message notifications, as well as track and record ride data like distance covered, fuel consumption, acceleration, motorcycle location, and more.  2026 Yamaha WR125R in Black The 2026 Yamaha WR125R will be available in Team Yamaha Blue or Black with an MSRP of $3,999, making it $1,000 less than the Yamaha TW200 dual-sport and $1,500 less than the Yamaha XT250 dual-sport.
