Councilmember Who Worked For Turning Point USA Accused Of S*xual Harassment And Kidnapping In Lawsuit, Responds To Allegations
An Arizona councilmember who worked for Turning Point USA faces allegations in a lawsuit that she propositioned a man for sex and briefly kidnapped his 14-year-old daughter when he declined.
Avondale City Councilmember Jeannette Garcia is accused of “making remarks, inviting and suggesting” having sex with the man and offering him employment with Turning Point USA if he agreed to it, AZ Family reports.
The father and daughter filed the lawsuit anonymously under the aliases Father John Doe and Minor Jane Doe.
According to AZ Family, John Doe is believed to have worked for Garcia’s team at Turning Point USA and coworkers went out to dinner to celebrate the elections last November.
Garcia has called the accusations “outrageous and false.”
She has not been charged with a crime.
“I am aware of the outrageous and false accusations being made about me. Let me be very clear: these claims are untrue. I have never kidnapped anyone, never harmed anyone, and never solicited anything inappropriate, ever. The situation being referenced involved me helping a young girl. Anyone twisting an act of support into something malicious is spreading intentional misinformation,” Garcia said.
“Again, these accusations are false. I am preparing to pursue legal action against those responsible for spreading these lies and for the damage they are attempting to cause to my reputation. I will not be intimidated, I will not be smeared, and I will not allow false allegations to define my name or my work,” she continued.

AZ Family shared further details from the lawsuit:
The lawsuit states Garcia “became more aggressive and explicit” due to “excessive consumption of alcohol,” which forced Father John Doe to leave the restaurant.
When he got home later that night, his daughter was not there.
MCSO deputies reportedly showed up at his door and told Father John Doe that his daughter was “safe” and with Garcia.
He alleges Garcia decided to “take his daughter from his home without his permission” and claimed Garcia “manipulated” his daughter by telling her she worried about her father becoming violent after drinking that night.
The lawsuit claims Garcia and other TPUSA employees were drunk when they picked up Minor Jane Doe, who reportedly did not return home until 12 hours later.
AZ Family provided additional coverage:
National File noted:
Doe claims he searched for his daughter, returning home after 1 a.m. and contacting her friends. When he returned again, he was met by Maricopa County sheriff’s deputies, who advised him his daughter was “safe” and with Garcia and other Turning Point employees. According to the suit and CBS News, Garcia reportedly failed to answer multiple calls, and Doe did not recover his daughter until the following day.
The lawsuit accuses Garcia of taking the girl from her home without consent while intoxicated, detaining her through the night, and inflicting significant emotional trauma—an injury that, according to the suit, continues to affect the teen’s daily life and schooling.
The complaint also names Turning Point and other associated parties, including the Maricopa County sheriff’s office, alleging civil conspiracy, false imprisonment, and that deputies aided and abetted the alleged kidnapping. Defendants have not responded to the lawsuit in court, and the sheriff’s office and city declined to comment.
