The Gilmore family is one that many girls dream of being part of. We all loved Gilmore Girls and hoped one day to be a mom like Emily Gilmore or Lorelai Gilmore and have a daughter like Rory Gilmore. They had that special generational relationship that seemed so magical on the screen. The show’s original run consisted of seventeen seasons. In 2016, Netflix gave us Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. Fans have long hoped for more. According to Parade, Kelly Bishop, who played Emily on Gilmore Girls, gave a bit of a tease. Kelly Bishop Hinted at a “Gilmore Girls” Christmas Movie Well, sort of. Kelly Bishop told the In Her Words podcast that Gilmore Girls still has a lot of life. “Well, it all really ultimately depends initially with Amy, and I think that she’s open to it,” Kelly said. “And I think Lauren [Graham] is, and now you can find Alexis [Bledel]. Alexis is less enthusiastic about the business. She, I don’t even know that she wants to be in it. She lives in Texas or something, but she would probably do it for the right amount of money. And I would always be interested in doing it.” “So, I think it’s there’s a possibility here because this show is just amazing. It just won’t stop,” Kelly added. Gilmore Girls began in October 2000, starring Kelly Bishop, Lauren Graham, and Alexis Bledel as Emily, Lorelai, and Rory Gilmore. We know a lot has happened since we last checked into Stars Hollow, but we’re so curious about how things turned out for everyone. Gilmore Girls is just one of those shows that feels so real and close to our hearts. We want Christmas in Stars Hollow one more time. Is that too much to ask?
