Dave Coulier Says ‘Prognosis is Very Good’ After Revealing New Cancer Diagnosis

Dave Coulier shocked fans in October 2024 when he announced his non-Hodgkin lymphoma cancer diagnosis. He underwent treatment and announced he was cancer-free in March 2025. During a December 2 appearance with Craig Melvin on the Today Show, Dave confirmed a scan found a second form of cancer. But luckily, he found it early, and the prognosis looks good. The PET scan found p16 squamous carcinoma at the base of his tongue. Dave immediately asked questions. “So I said to the doctors, I said, ‘Well, did this happen because of the lymphoma?’ And they said, ‘Totally unrelated,’” he told Craig. But the thing that has really saved my life, Craig, is that early detection saved my life, not just the first time but the second time as well. So I hope you’re getting your check-ups. I hope your colonoscopies and breast exams and prostate exams, they will save your life,” Dave said. His fans sent love to the Full House alum. “I am proof that early detection is key!! 5 years in remission, womb cancer – surgery, chemo and radiation. It’s not easy but I’m here! I went in because my shoulder hurt and I’d lost a lot of weight in 4 months – completely unrelated,” a fan wrote. Many shared similar stories. “I’m 29, noticed something off, went to the doctor, had a colonoscopy, and they just removed four polyps, all of which could have turned to cancer. Listen to your body,” another person wrote. This fan wants Dave Coulier to have a cancer-free 2026. “While I do love how you use your experiences to help others, I sure hope God/the universe gives you a well-deserved break from it in the new year,” they wrote.
