Lainey Wilson And Steven Tyler Teamed Up For A Rousing Rendition Of Aerosmith’s Classic Hit, “Dream On”

An unexpected duo… but I’m here for it. Back in February, Lainey Wilson and rock legend Steven Tyler teamed up for a rousting performance of Aerosmith’s hit “Dream On” at the 6th Annual Jam for Janie charity event at the Hollywood Palladium, following the 2025 Grammy Awards. Of course, “Dream On” was featured on Aerosmith’s debut self-titled 1973 album, and the power ballad, written by frontman Steven Tyler, became their first major hit and a staple on classic rock. It peaked at #59 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, but became an even bigger hit in their native city of Boston. I’m sure it’s a song many of us know and love, and Lainey has always dabbled some in this style of music (she used to post tons of rock covers), so I actually think this makes a lot of sense and I think it’s fun to see her do something really different. Plus, if Steven Tyler asks you to sing with him, who in the world is going to say no to that? It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity… And Aerosmith shared a video of it on their Instagram page, which you can check out here: View this post on Instagram Just a few days prior to sharing that video, they hinted that Lainey would be teaming up with Aerosmith and Yungblud for a reimagined rendition of their song “Wild Woman,” In November, Aerosmith teamed up with current British rock phenom Yungblud (whose real name is Dominic Harrison) for an EP called One More Time that features four new songs and a new version of Aerosmith’s classic “Back in the Saddle.” The official Aerosmith Instagram account shared a photo of Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and Yungblud, saying there is a “cowgirl” who loved the song with the caption “A ‘Wild Woman’ feature coming soon. There was a cowgirl who loved this song so much that we had to add her on! Can you guess who?” The post includes a Charlie 1 Horse cowboy hat, and this design specifically was in collaboration with Lainey, who almost always wear a hat similar to what you’ll see pictured below. Lainey also “liked” the post, for whatever that’s worth, and while this might be the most unlikely trio of all-time in terms of Lainey being part of it, I can’t wait. A little rock and a little country is my dream. View this post on Instagram Stay tuned… we can probably expect to hear this one soon.
