The Red Clay Strays Officially Drop Previously Unreleased Track, “Till Things Get Right,” Live From The Ryman

A long-awaited track. It’s safe to say that The Red Clay Strays are one of the hottest bands on the planet right now. Between frontman Brandon Coleman’s killer vocals, the flawless blend of country, gospel, roots and southern rock influences and the sheer musical talent present from each of the six members, it was more than apparent that the Alabama group was bound to break out into the stratosphere at some point sooner or later. And it looks like that day has finally come for the band. If you’ve been paying any attention to the alt. country scene over the past three or so years, you’re keen to the fact that they’ve already scored some major career accomplishments, including the likes of winning Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2024 Americana Awards, winning New Vocal Duo or Group at the 2025 ACM Awards and scoring a 3x platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for their breakout “Wondering Why” along with a gold certification for their debut album, Moment of Truth. Last month, however, it seems as if the Alabama band cemented themselves as mainstays both in the minds of alternative country fans and the mainstream alike with their huge night at the 59th annual CMA Awards, delivering a killer performance of their current single, “People Hatin’” before dethroning Old Dominion as Vocal Group of the Year en route to their first-ever CMA win. Amazingly, in a year filled with nothing short of incredible career accomplishments, the band didn’t release much truly new music. Though they’d release their current single, “People Hatin’,” which was released in response to the assassination of Charlie Kirk, back in October, the only other set of releases from Red Clay came in the form of two live projects: their Western AF EP and their first full-length live album, Live At The Ryman. The digital release of Live At The Ryman, obviously, contained a bulk of their setlist from first-ever show at the Mother Church back in 2024, and included popular tracks such as “Wondering Why,” “Wanna Be Loved” and “I’m Still Fine.”  With that being said, however, the vinyl pressing of the album contained an exclusive unreleased track, “Till Things Get Right.” To celebrate their massive year, today, The Red Clay Strays have officially released the long-awaited track on all streaming platforms. In the Instagram caption announcing the track’s release, the band would note that its release was in direct response to the outcry of support they’ve received from fans throughout the year, with the caption reading: “This year has been a big one for us and you guys made that happen. A lot of y’all have been asking for this one, so here ya go!” View this post on Instagram If you’re unfamiliar with “Till Things Get Right,” it was a set-list staple for a LONG time in their early years. So long, in fact, that they first debuted the song all the way back in 2019, a full four years before the release of their debut album, Moment of Truth in April 2022. Since then, it’s become nothing short of a cult-classic for long-time fans of Red Clay. As for the track itself, it’s clear why it’s resonated with so many fans for so long, even though it’s never been officially released. Like many of the band’s tracks, it ultimately is a reflection on finding a glimmer of hope despite the circumstances surrounding them. Contrasting a cheap motel room that’s complete with no room service and thin walls, Coleman and Co. end up finding some salvation inside the walls of the motel. In the infectious, sing-a-long chorus, they chant: “I see people come and go Round here, the money’s always tight (Tight, tight, tight) Better save up your quarters and dimes If you wanna stay anothеr night (Night, night, night) There’s a place you can gеt away And stay until things get right Till the things get right” It’s pretty easy to comprehend why “Till Things Get Right” has been such a fan-favorite for so many years. Existing as a bit of an encapsulation of everything that makes Red Clay special, complete with Coleman’s soulful vocals, the hopeful nature of the lyrics penned by Coleman’s brother, Matthew, and the bluesy nature of the composition, the track is nothing short of a must-listen if you’re a new fan of the Alabaman powerhouses.
