Domestic. Two weeks before Christmas, Ikea is now launching an extensive Ramadan collection – for those who are going to celebrate the Muslim fasting month next year.
"Light up your home for Ramadan! Gather family, friends and neighbors for a magical time with warm hearts and open homes," the Swedish furniture giant wrote.

"GOKTVÄLLÅ" is a series of interior details including textiles, porcelain and various types of lighting for Ramadan, which is now being launched by Ikea.

Ikea claims to want to help "create a warm and welcoming atmosphere during Ramadan and Eid, so that the celebrations together with family and friends become even more festive."

The furniture giant has previously developed smaller series linked to the Muslim holiday – but for the first time it is about a larger effort.

According to Ikea, they want to highlight different ways of celebrating where many gather.

"We want to encourage and help in the celebrations where people come together," Louise Ridell Ehinger, press contact at Ikea Sweden, told Expressen.

The collection "GOKVÄLLÅ" is designed by Darja Nordberg and Matilda Lindstam Nilsson. The products will go on sale in early February.

Ramadan begins on February 18 and ends on March 19.
