Vanna White Opens Up About Retirement from “Wheel of Fortune”
We welcomed Pat Sajak and Vanna White into our homes for more than 40 years on Wheel of Fortune. When Pat announced his retirement plans in June 2023, many wondered what the future would hold for the show and Vanna. Ryan Seacrest took over as host in September 2024, and he and Vanna White became the new dream team. If Pat and Vanna were like peanut butter and jelly, Ryan and Vanna are like peanut butter and honey. They both go together perfectly, and people love them. But at 18 years his senior, Vanna may want to get out of the game show business sooner than Ryan. Vanna White recently shed some light on her future plans.

Does Vanna White’s Future Include Wheel of Fortune?
In a recent interview with E! News, Vanna White opened up about her future at Wheel of Fortune.
“When Pat decided he was going to retire, I had to make a decision,” Vanna told E! News. “Working with someone for that long, I feel like I should maybe go with him.”
She added that retirement didn’t feel right to her at the time, and it still doesn’t today.
“But I thought hard and thought, ‘You know what? I’m just not ready to retire yet. I’m having fun. I feel good. I feel healthy,’” she added. “So, at this point, it’s one year at a time.”
Vanna White explained that she might want to branch out in the future, but for now, she’s happy where she is. Plus, she and Ryan Seacrest have great chemistry and have a fantastic friendship. That certainly has to make it much easier to get up and go to work.
“We get along great,” she told E!. “I think our chemistry is good. He’s such a nice guy and he’s so professional and hardworking and we just gel. This is our second year together and I feel like it’s been forever.”
