“Let’s Bring Common Sense Back To Minnesota” – Mike Lindell Launches Bid For Governor

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has officially launched his campaign for Governor of Minnesota. “Let’s bring common sense back to Minnesota,” he said. “I want you to know that I will stand for you as the next governor of the state of Minnesota,” Lindell said in a video announcement. “I will stand for you against the rampant fraud under Governor Walz. I will stand with you against crime that threatens the safety of you and your family,” Lindell continued. “I will stand for you against government-sponsored theft of your livelihood,” he added. Incumbent Democratic Gov. Tim Walz has already announced he is running for reelection for a third term, although he has faced recent scrutiny over alleged state financial mismanagement and returning to a challenging political situation in his own state after being a running mate on a losing presidential ticket. During a press conference last week, Walz addressed alleged fraud in Minnesota, saying it is being looked into and audited. A handful of Republican candidates have also announced bids for governor. Lindell joins a crowded GOP primary that includes Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth, 2022 nominee Scott Jensen, state Rep. Kristin Robbins, businessman Kendall Qualls, and attorney Chris Madel. “After prayerful consideration and hearing from so many of you across our great state, I’ve made the decision to enter the 2026 gubernatorial race. I’m still standing and I’ll stand for you,” Lindell said. I’m officially running for Governor of Minnesota. Hours after news broke of Lindell’s decision to file campaign paperwork last week, Walz’s campaign launched an email fundraising campaign featuring an exchange with former Vice President Kamala Harris. “Trump loyalist and election denier Mike Lindell just jumped into the race against me for Governor of Minnesota,” Walz wrote in the fundraising email. In his speech Thursday, Lindell attacked Walz multiple times for a fraud scandal that has engulfed his state this year. Federal prosecutors have alleged that dozens of people in the state stole hundreds of millions of dollars from pandemic-era welfare programs in the state.
