The finishing touches are complete. Despite not releasing a full-length album for the first time in four years, 2025 has undoubtedly been one of the wildest years on record for Zach Bryan. In between scoring major career milestones, such as selling his catalog for a staggering $350 million dollars and becoming the eighth highest-selling country artist of all time according to the RIAA, the “Something in the Orange” singer has still managed to find himself in a whole bunch of ongoing drama. Even ignoring all of the aftereffects of his messy, public breakup with Barstool’s Brianna Chickenfry from last year, Bryan managed to find himself in the crosshairs of plenty throughout 2025. Beyond stirring up criticism after telling a 14-year-old fan to “GOMD” (get off my d*ck) after failing to meet with fans after his second of three nights at MetLife Stadium, he would also attempt to fight Gavin Adcock at Born & Raised Festival after months of prodding from the “Never Call Again” singer. And finally, he found himself at odds with the White House itself after teasing his highly-controversial song taking aim at ICE, “Bad News.” Long story short, it’s been a year full of ups and downs for Bryan, especially in the public eye. After recently going public with the fact that he has now gone sober and is currently working on his mental health, Bryan is seemingly gearing up for what can only be described as his biggest year yet, not only plotting a massive set of international dates, With Heaven On Tour, for 2026 but also releasing his sixth studio album, With Heaven On Top, at the beginning of the year on January 9th. View this post on Instagram Despite being set for release in just three weeks, there isn’t much known about With Heaven On Top. In fact, the concept of the project itself has been quite convoluted. Back in February, Bryan would claim it was an EP, posting a teaser of the title track along with the caption, “With Heaven On Top the EP is out sooner than not.” However, as time passed with no release, it became clear that it was delayed before eventually getting turned into an album, as indicated by the previously mentioned Instagram post. View this post on Instagram With time slowly ticking down to the release of With Heaven On Top, Bryan took to Instagram today to officially announce that he’s done recording the project. Posting a photo of his microphone with a sock on it as a make-shift mic-cover, Bryan would caption it: “Album finally done / recorded [the] whole thing through a sock / see you January 9th”   As for what to expect on With Heaven On Top, there’s currently no tracklist or even confirmed songs for the album. With that being said, anyone who’s paid attention to Bryan in any capacity knows that he has a laundry list of unreleased/teased songs to pull from here. Though unconfirmed, it’s speculated that tracks such as “Plastic Cigarette,” “In Dreams,” “Sundown Girls” and “Bad News,” which caught fire as his “anti-ICE” song, will make appearances on the album. Additionally, there are other studio teasers for unreleased tracks such as “Cannonball” and “You Can Still Come Home” as well as his singles throughout 2025, “Bowery” with Kings of Leon and “Madeleine” with Gabriella Rose, which could potentially make the album. Ultimately, it looks like the “Something in the Orange” singer is keeping his cards close to his vest with the release of With Heaven On Top. Though I (and other Bryan superfans out there) can speculate endlessly about what’s going to be included on the project, it’s looking likely that we won’t know until its release date. One thing that can be assumed, however, is that it’ll include a hefty amount of songs, with my guess being a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 30, judging by his previous releases under Warner Records.
