During his speech at AmFest, Vice President JD Vance opened up about how the assassination of Charlie Kirk impacted him. In the days that followed, Vance said that his grief drove him to stay up night after night diving deep into “conspiracy theories” about his friend’s murder. He said that he watched every video he could find from the assassination, analyzing details and going down internet rabbit holes until his wife became concerned for him. Charlie’s death was an immense loss and irreplaceable loss.” “We got kicked in the teeth, my friends, and there’s no sugarcoating it or pretending that it didn’t happen. We need to accept that.” “And what saved me was realizing that the story of the Christian faith, like the story of these United States of America, is one of immense loss followed by even bigger victory.” Charlie Kirk’s assassination was a true tragedy that rocked the nation. But, he will not be forgotten. Now, his legacy lives on to empower a movement of Christian patriots that is stronger than ever before. Like, this X user noted, it draws parallels to the martyrdom of Stephen: The Martyrdom of Steven, and the outrage that followed it, was responsible for the first big burst of growth in Christianity. Tragedy has a way of strengthening those who suffer through it. It thickens our skin, fortifies us, and makes us more resolute. But, I have to say, it’s very interesting that JD Vance is bringing up these “conspiracy theories” and “rabbit holes” now… Because, truth be told, there are still quite a few troubling things about Kirk’s assassination that just don’t sit right. Many details don’t line up, and there are many questions that still need to be answered. Questions like: why was the area where Charlie Kirk was shot literally covered up and immediately paved over? Why was TPUSA staffmember’s first reaction when Charlie Kirk was killed to jump up and grab the tapes recording it? These aren’t far-out conspiracies; they’re legitimate details that rightfully have a lot of people very suspicious — including the Vice President of the United States, apparently! And, it doesn’t help when certain prominent voices of those who were closest to Charlie tell everyone they need to just shut up and stop asking questions. We can honor Charlie Kirk’s legacy while continuing to pursue the truth of what happened that fateful day. It doesn’t have to be one or the other. This wasn’t the only time that JD Vance brought up Charlie Kirk’s assassination during his speech. At another point, Vance pointed out that Charlie Kirk’s assassin Tyler Robinson was the poster child for how the left wants young men to be. Rightfully, he noted that this is exactly what is at stake for future generations, and why it’s so important to keep fighting for conservative values. And the answer is a man named Tyler Robinson who killed my friend. He has everything that the far left wants from our young men.” “That is the nightmare scenario, but that is the scenario that the left has actively advertised they want for American families and the young men in the audience in particular. That is exactly why we have to fight them.” Vance concluded his AmFest speech by once again driving in how crucial it is to keep up the good fight that Charlie Kirk died for.
