London’s vibrant music scene in 1969 served as the breeding ground for a group that would define the sunny, infectious sound of British bubblegum pop under the name Edison Lighthouse. Before adopting this moniker, which was inspired by the Eddystone Lighthouse off the coast of Devon, the musicians were known on the home counties circuit as a soft rock outfit called Greenfield Hammer.
