Ukraine's top anti-corruption court has ruled that former prime minister and well-known opposition leader Julia Tymoshenko should be subject to legal restrictions in an ongoing corruption investigation. The court on Friday approved a bail equivalent to over seven million kronor and imposed several restrictions on her freedom of movement and political contacts in the country. Tymoshenko is singled out as a possible presidential challenger against Zelenskyy and calls the measures an attempt to knock her out of politics. She claims Ukraine has been taken over by a "fascist regime" ruled by a gang serving foreign corporate interests.

The court decision also means that Tymoshenko, one of Ukraine's most prominent politicians, is not allowed to leave the capital Kyiv without special permission from investigating authorities. In addition, she is prohibited from having contact with more than 60 members of the Ukrainian Parliament and is required to submit her foreign passports, reports German broadcaster
