Ella Langley Sends Fans Into A Frenzy After Countdown Clock Appears On Her Website
Ella Langley is teasing that something is coming on the horizon and it might be sooner than you think. Ella Langley has shared that fans can expect new music from his this year—an album to be exact—and it appears that new music might be coming soon.
A recent countdown has appeared on Ella Langley’s website, after you fill out the informational, and the countdown is set to end on Tuesday, January 27. Needless to say, it’s sent fans into a frenzy:
The “Choosin’ Texas” singer has been on a hot streak since the release of the Miranda Lambert co-written song (along with Joybeth Taylor and Luke Dick). “Choosin’ Texas” has blown Langley’s fame to a new level with the single’s success. Since its release, the song has been nothing short of a smash for Langley. Debuting at #37 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, it also launched all the way to #7 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, both of which were career-highs for the “hungover” singer.
In the weeks following, it caught even more fire. On December 2, 2025, it became Langley’s first career #1 hit on the aforementioned Hot Country Songs chart and also became the fastest solo female song to reach the top 10 at US Country Radio this decade, taking just eight weeks to crack the Top 10.
In case that wasn’t enough, “Choosin’ Texas” reached #5 on the all-genre Hot 100, skyrocketing all the way up from #48 last week. With this entry, “Choosin’ Texas” has become Langley’s first-career Top 5 entry on the chart as well as her first Top 10 entry. “Choosin’ Texas” allowed Langley to become just the 12th woman THIS CENTURY to chart a country song inside the Top 10 on the Hot 100 since 2000.
Even Langley has been surprised by how well the song is doing, sharing a note with her fans on January 20, thanking them for their continued support.
“Every. Single. Day. Y’all are blowing me away with your love for this song. We knew it was special the day we wrote it, but wow, I coulda never even imagined what’s happening right now.”

So could Langley be capitalizing on the momentum that “Choosin’ Texas” has given her, and she’s ready to release another single from her forthcoming record? I sure hope so. The Alabama native is crushing it right now, and I don’t see that slowing down anytime soon.
Taking Her Time On Next Album
While fans would have loved to have gotten a new record from Langley in 2025, Langley shared that she has a particular vision for this next record and wanted to take her time to see it come to life exactly how she dreamed.
During an interview last year with Katie & Company, Ella said she is taking her time and wants to make sure Hungover has all the time it deserves to be loved before the next project, and that she is in no rush to put out her next LP.
“I think there might be a little bit of both. I worked so hard on that record, and my team worked so hard on that record and songs. There’s so many special songs on that one. My next record’s not going to be out until 2026, so I really feel like people move on from a record so fast. They’re like, here’s a whole record of 20-something songs, and then we’re gonna give you one single off of it and then move on to the next record.
I think there’s something to be said in taking your time in making the record and taking the time to put all those pieces into place where it can last a long time. Last in a way where fans can keep digging into it and digging into it and finding new songs that they love and finding new little pieces about the record that’s different. I would love to try for another single off of ‘Hungover,’ but there is new music coming out because I’m not gonna go a year and a half without putting anything out. But it’s gonna be kind of a separate little thing.
I’m really just trying to do what feels right to me, not really paying attention to what other artists have done. Also doing that, but still keeping my blinders on in a way where it’s like, this is my art, this is how I want to put it out, this is the way that I think would be best for my artistry. That’s what’s so cool about the team that I have is, everyone really sees the vision with me, and they believe in it and execute it.”
Ella added that she will still be releasing new music in terms of songs that didn’t exactly fit for the record, so it’s not like fans will have to go a full year or more without new music from her.
She added that it’s already been a labor of love, and she feels confident it’s going to feel almost like having a child by the time it finally comes out, given how much has gone into it. She says it’s “all I’ve thought about every day, all day”:
“I know what I want to say all the time, is the problem. It’s a good problem to have. But this next record, I’ve known the title for it, I actually go the title for it, it was like 100% concrete this is the title for the next record the day we shot the music video for “You Look Like You Love Me”. I can’t tell you the title yet, sorry, but it’s definitely taking shape and I know exactly what I want in it and how it sounds and I just have such a clear vision on this record.
‘Hungover’ felt like a little bit of me figuring it out, picking my favorite songs, and then creating a concept around it. This time, I have a concept and I’m writing towards that concept. Kind of still letting songs that need to be written come out, and I’m just kind of picking the best ones out of that. This record, I understand when people are like, I had a child, because that’s how I will feel after this record comes out because it’s all I’ve thought about every day, all day and I can’t wait.
But there are some other songs that I’ve written along the way that don’t fit on this record because I do have such a clear concept musically or conceptually, so there’s a couple of them that are gonna come out. They are definitely a different taste than what the record is, but a side of me that fans know and I have dabbled in before, and it’s exciting.”
During the fall in Houston, Texas, Langley also told the packed crowd that she wanted to live her life before releasing her next record. It sounds like she wanted to get some content for writing, ensuring the songs highlight raw emotion.
“You know, I put some space between my records, just ’cause I had to live some life. What the hell do y’all want me to write songs about? Nothing? You know. I had to love somebody in between these last two records to make a record. What do you think I am, Wonder Woman?”
I love that she referenced writing songs as a superpower like Wonder Woman, as if it takes a superhero to create purely fictional lyrics. While I am sure not all the songs on this upcoming project will be based on her personal experiences, they do add to the lyrical depth when they strike a chord close to home.
@notthatkayleigh Because she had to love somebody so she had something to write about, duh!! I love that @Ella Langley isn’t rushing the creative process. I’m sure there’s so much pressure from the industry when it comes to that! #ellalangley #countrymusic #houstontx #713musichall #choosintexas ♬ Choosin’ Texas – Ella Langley
I can’t wait to hear what Langley has been cooking up for this next album, and I sure hope we get a taste of it come January 27. The countdown is on.The post Ella Langley Sends Fans Into A Frenzy After Countdown Clock Appears On Her Website first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
