Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong and his son Jakob have released a cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes” to commemorate Survivor‘s 50th season, which kicks off in February. The cover marks the first time Billie Joe and Jakob have recorded vocals together.“ “It’s a tough song to do justice – I’m grateful for the opportunity to try,” Jakob wrote on Instagram. The younger Armstrong also produced and engineered the recording. Survivor Like his father and older brother Joey, Jakob has a career in music. He currently leads the trio Ultra Q. Heroes Survivor is the American version of the international Survivor reality competition television franchise. The series premiered on May 31st, 2000, hosted by Jeff Probst. Survivor places a group of contestants in an isolated location where they compete in challenges for rewards and immunity from elimination.
