According to Scania's CEO Christian Levin, there are many customers who are interested in buying electric trucks, but too few orders are placed.

- We see a great deal of interest from the customers and it's a lot of fun, but we see too little of an end. There is uncertainty about electricity costs, about the political support systems to support the transformation and then about charging infrastructure, he says to the state radio .

Scania's goal is for ten percent of sales to be electric trucks by 2025. This year, they are not even on a tenth of that.

The sluggish sales affect the company's finances negatively. You can manage it in the short term, but it's not the way you want it.

Calls for political action
Now Levin believes that politicians should do more to get more people to choose electric power over fossil alternatives.
