Columbia removes ICE recruitment post after faculty and student backlash
An ad on Columbia’s School of Professional Studies website touting a U.S. Customs and Border Protection virtual career expo was recently taken down after backlash from students and staff. The ad had read “Help defend the homeland,” seeking to recruit thousands of “mission critical positions” within the Department of Homeland Security agencies in attendance, the New York Post reported.
