“I’ve Had Some Opportunities”: Riley Green Once Again Hints Towards Future Acting Roles

It’s bound to happen. Over the past two years, Riley Green has cemented himself as a certified star on all fronts. From a pure music perspective, he’s grabbed three straight #1s with the likes of his appearance on Ella Langley’s “you look like you love me,” his second collaboration with the fellow Alabama native, “Don’t Mind If I Do” and his steamy ballad, “Worst Way.” Additionally, he’s stirred the pot on social media a countless number of times thanks to seemingly never-ending dating rumors surrounding him and various artists such as Langley. Undoubtedly, Green has quickly become one of the biggest stars in country music lately. With that being said, however, it seems as if he’s not just limiting himself to music in the future. In case you missed it, the “Different Round Here” singer turned heads last week after fans spotted him in the first trailer for Taylor Sheridan’s brand-new Yellowstone spin-off series, Marshals.  Though it seems as if it might only be a cameo appearance in the show, given that he’s playing his guitar around a fire, Green has made it more than clear in the past that he’s open to acting roles in the future. He shared a similar sentiment last week as well at his #1 party in Nashville for both “Worst Way” and “Don’t Mind If I Do.” At a press conference during the event, Green was once again asked about acting and made it sound like it’s close to becoming a reality. Right off the bat, he’d admit that he wasn’t sure how much he could actually say regarding it, possibly hinting at the fact that he already has roles lined up but not revealed. Additionally, he’d touch on the fact that he wasn’t sure how much time he wants to commit to acting, given that it would interfere with his touring. “I don’t know how much I’m supposed to say about it, so I’ll just leave it [at this]. It’s been something that I’ve been interested in for a while and obviously been talked about for a little bit. I’ve had some opportunities last year to kind of go down that road… I can’t make myself take time off from touring because things are going so well. It’s such a battle to stay relevant nowadays when there’s so many ways people can put out music, and it seems like a new artist pops up weekly. So that may be an avenue for me to dial back my life on the road if I’m doing something else that’s also kind of building my career. I certainly think acting can do that.” As he’s done in the past, Green would once again point to the success of Yellowstone, which helped launch Lainey Wilson’s career, and note how much of an impact the show has had on Western lifestyle and country music worldwide. As for the question surrounding a full-fledged role in the show or a spinoff, he’d keep it vague and simply say, “We may or may not see something like that” in the future. You look at what the shows like ‘Yellowstone’ have done for the western lifestyle and how big country music [has gotten]. I think it’s becoming big in other countries because of shows like that, so it’s definitely something I’m interested in. And we may or may not see something like that.” @everythingnash In addition to his massive country music career, @Riley Green hints he also is dabbling in acting. #countrymusic #rileygreen #acting ♬ original sound – EverythingNash Check him out in the new Yellowstone spinoff, Marshals, trailer: Last year, Green shared with 95.5 WTVY that he has been reading scripts and thinks that a pivot to acting could help his music career in the long run. “We’ve actually kinda gone down that road a little bit. I’ve read for a couple of shows here lately. Not that I have a lot of time for it, but I think it is something that I would enjoy, and also something I think could help my music career. Doing ‘Yellowstone’ was a great launching pad for Lainey… and the country and western thing is becoming so popular through those shows that it’s really just such a great tie-in. I’m just glad that it’s helping out country music.” Though he’s been incredibly vague over the past year (and probably has to due to contractual obligations), it’s becoming pretty clear that Green will be making his acting debut sometime in the near future. The question doesn’t seem to be “if?” anymore, but rather “when?” Before you go, fire up his latest #1 hit on country radio, “Change My Mind.” Riley Green Tour Dates April 16th, 2026 – Southaven, MS – Landers Center#~$ April 17th, 2026 – Louisville, KY – KFC Yum!
