Many athletes spend their entire lives training in hopes of one day competing in the Olympic Games. Just having a chance to compete against the world’s greatest athletes is a tremendous accomplishment. Every four years, the Winter Olympic Games bring together accomplished skaters, skiers, snowboarders, and more who give it their all in hopes of winning a medal. This year, we saw victory and defeat in Milano Cortina as Olympic dreams came true. Among the sweetest moments was watching Coen Rijpma cheer on his wife, Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong, as the Dutch speed skater battled in the 1500-meter event. Coen very clearly loves his wife unconditionally and shares all his excitement and energy with the crowd at Milano Cortina. As Antoinette skated to victory, he screamed, cheered, and even shed a few tears in the stands. It was such a touching moment, and Olympics fans loved seeing him. NCB shared the moment on Instagram, and fans fell in love with Coen Rijpma’s love for Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong. “Whoever was operating that camera deserves a raise!! The tracking is unbelievable lol his reaction is so beautiful,” a fan wrote. “When you know how hard she works. How much sacrfice she has put in. And how much she deserves and has earned this. I love this!” Another person agreed. We love this person’s thoughtful comment. Both Coen and Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong won big at the Olympics this year. “She won three golds: Olympic, family, husband/partner.
