You can't eat Bitcoin! (But that doesn't mean it's useless.)
Preppers criticize Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, arguing that they are worthless in societal collapse or any grid-down SHTF situation. These are preppers who focus on Hollywood-style apocalypse situations. Meanwhile, Iranians are buying Bitcoin because Iran's currency is falling in value. Bitcoin is a means for them to preserve some of their wealth in a state of collapse. Bitcoin DOES have a place in a prepper's portfolio.
