Punch the Monkey Gets Some Much-Needed Love
The Ichikawa City Zoo in Ichikawa, Japan, has been all the rage online recently because of a little baby macaque named Punch-kun. Sadly, the little monkey’s mom abandoned him after birth, leaving zookeepers to care for him. But that led Punch the monkey to struggle to make friends with other animals. Zookeepers gave him a stuffed orangutan in hopes of easing his anxiety, People reported. The pair became an inseparable internet sensation. We’ve loved watching Punch and his stuffed animal pal, but many hoped for more for the sweet monkey.
