Cutest Koala Hitches a Ride on Empty Bus
Folks at Koala Rescue Brisbane South take their jobs very seriously. Every day, they do their best to care for their koala friends. When they hear about an animal in danger, they put forth every effort to get that koala back to safety. Their work has inspired many to keep an extra eye out, just in case. A bus driver in Brisbane noticed a koala in danger dodging traffic and decided to stop his bus to help. The bus driver loaded the koala onto the bus and drove it right back to safety.

Photos Show a Sweet Koala Enjoying the Bus Ride
“Every day our bus drivers keep Brisbane moving, but this CityGlider driver went above and beyond to keep a koala out of harm’s way, while waiting for wildlife rescue. Thanks to our driver and @koalarescuebrisbanesouthinc Peri the koala has finally made it home safe and sound to Seven Hills Bushland Reserve,” an Instagram post reads. “If you do see a koala that needs a help, please get in touch with animal rescue services – just don’t give them a go card!”
Seeing the koala on the bus made many people smile.
“this is sooooo cute and very kind! Merry Christmas lil mate and driver too!,” a follower wrote.
“Appreciate the kind bus driver’s actions. Unfortunately, situations like this will occur again (and many without a positive outcome) unless more action is taken to stop koala habitat fragmentation and destruction,” another person wrote.
Others just found the joy in the koala bus moment.
“This is the only kind of breaking news I want in my feed,” someone wrote.
“Sorry i was late to work, there was a koala on my bus,” another person joked.
We’re glad the little guy made it back home safe and sound.
