US-Iran war live updates: Pentagon identifies US soldiers killed in Kuwait strike
U.S. military officials released the names of four American soldiers killed in the war with Iran as the State Department sought additional flights to get more than 1,000 U.S. citizens out of the Middle East as the war expands to neighboring countries, causing panic to the markets and oil prices to surge.
During a press conference on Capitol Hill, Rubio said 9,000 Americans have been able to leave the region, while another 1,500 people are still trying to get out. The federal government is looking at a combination of larger commercial flights, charter flights, military transportation and land routes to help Americans who are stuck in the Middle East.
