Family Welcomes Miracle Quadruplets Months After Learning They Likely Wouldn’t Survive
Megan Black and her husband, Erich, wanted to expand their family but had a hard time doing so. After multiple miscarriages, Megan became pregnant via interuternie insemination, according to People. Following the exciting news of a positive pregnancy test, an ultrasound revealed something totally unexpected. Meghan Black was pregnant with quadruplets.
“We didn’t think it could be possible. Trying to have just one baby was hard enough… How could there be four?” Megan recalled.
The couple’s doctor stayed honest and frank from the beginning. Carrying quadruplets is incredibly risky, and there was a 40% chance that not all of the babies would survive. The family had to be extra cautious.
Meghan Black Moved into the hospital months before Welcoming her Quadruplets
Meghan Black moved into Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati 70 days before giving birth to her quadruplets. She had expert care every step of the way. On February 6, 2025, Meghan and Ercih Black welcomed Elly, Edyn, Dani, and Lucy. All four of their girls are thriving along with their big sister, Emyrson.
Megan told People Erich wanted a big family. His parents adopted him as a child, and he hoped to have biological children of his own someday. He got his wish in a big way.
“Now our home is full of five rainbow babies in total — and we couldn’t be luckier,” Megan Black said of her quadruplets.
The couple’s friends set up a GoFundMe to help offset the cost of bringing home four new babies. They’ve raised more. Than $25,000 thus far.
“Every bit of support, whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing our story, means more to us than words can express. We are humbled beyond measure and deeply thankful for the love and encouragement from our family, friends, and community. Your kindness truly makes a difference and reminds us that we’re not alone on this journey,” the couple shared on the fundraiser.
