White acknowledges the “tremendous success” of Swift and other songwriters who have their own process. “What I was trying to say in an interview I did about poetry and lyric writing, was that I don’t find it interesting at all for ME to write about MYSELF in my own lyric writing and poetry because I think that it could be repetitive for ME to always write about and It could be uninteresting for people who listen to my music to delve into, and that imaginary characters are more attractive to me as a writer.” When asked if any of any of his songs were entirely autobiographical, White replies, “Not too much.” . Live Nation 3/9 Live Nation Settles Live Nation, owner of Ticketmaster, settles its antitrust lawsuit, which could bring “structural changes” to the company. Live Nation will pay nearly $200 million to states that participated in the lawsuit. The settlement is expected to help cut down on instances where Live Nation monopolizes concert ticket sales. Daivid Draiman 3/9 David Draiman Sings Anthems Disturbed frontman David Draiman sings the U.S. national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner” and the Israeli national anthem, “Hatikvah” at The Algemeiner’s twelfth annual J100 gala in New York City. Draiman, who is of Jewish heritage, is honored at the gala, that attracts supporters of the Jewish people for an evening centered on moral clarity, resolve, and solidarity. Draiman is an activist for the State Of Israel, constantly emphasizing the importance of dialogue and understanding. David Gilmour 3/12 David Gilmour’s Guitar Sells For Record The Pink Floyd guitarist’s “Black Strat” is sold for $14.55 million at Christie’s auction in New York. It’s now the most expensive guitar ever sold. The “Black Strat” was used for the recording of the Floyd albums “The Dark Side Of The Moon: (1973), “Wish You Were Here” (1975), “Animals” (1977) and “The Wall” (1979). Nick Shabatura 3/13 Corrosion Of Conformity’s New Drummer  C.O.C. announces the addition of drummer Nick Shabatura. He replaces Stanton Moore. “The plan was always for me to make this record (“Good God/Baad Man”) with the guys and then to find somebody to do the touring,” states Moore. Shabatura was recommend to C.O.C. by Anthrax/Pantera drummer Charlie Benante.
