Kristen Bell Wishes Daughter a Happy Birthday with Rare Family Videos

Kristen Bell has been notoriously private about her children since becoming a mother. But for her oldest daughter’s birthday, she’s offering a glimpse into their family life. The Frozen star took to Instagram today (March 28) to celebrate Lincoln’s 13th birthday, and the cross into the teenaged years has her feeling emotional. “13 years ago today we had our first baby girl,” she began. “Getting to know her wit, compassion, and sense of adventure has brought us a kind of joy we didn’t have a word for before we met her.She reminds us every day that family is literally the best of it- the real stuff. (And also to never under estimate how good it feels to hold someone’s hand).” View this post on Instagram A post shared by kristen bell (@kristenanniebell) “Parenting is, for me, both the hardest and best thing I’ve ever done,” she continued. “Thank you to all the role models we have had for our girls(I’m looking at you Mrs Browne!!!) and to the village who taught us how to be parents. Getting to love this kid is the greatest job on earth. Happy 13th birthday baby girl .” Along with the heartwarming message, Bell shared a video montage of Lincoln over the years. The clips show the blonde-haired teen spending time with her sister, playing with her dad, and traveling the world. All of the images show a heart over her and her sister, Delta’s (11) faces. Kristen Bell shares Lincoln with her husband, Dax Shepard, whom she married in 2013. The two have been major advocates for children’s privacy rights. They both work hard to keep media outlets or influencers from posting photos of celebrities’ children online. Bell has also admitted that she’d “sooner quit the business” than subject her daughters to the paparazzi.  “My feeling is that I chose a career in the public eye. I chose to be quoted; I chose to have my picture taken,” she said in a Romper cover story in 2020. “I don’t know them yet; I don’t know if they will want that. So I really don’t have the right to choose for them.” This story’s featured image is by Taylor Hill/FilmMagic via Getty.
