The family missed the tradition for two years after Princess Kate was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer. Kate announced her remission on January 14, 2025, and she slowly returned to her full royal duties, with her health as her primary focus. “It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focused on recovery,” she wrote on Instagram. “As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.” This story’s featured image is by Karwai Tang/WireImage.
