Post Malone Brings Out Braxton Keith For A Surprise Performance Of “Cozy” At Stagecoach

Another day, another surprise collab from Post. It’s safe to say that it was a WILD weekend in country music. Between George Strait performing two massive, sold-out shows with the likes of Zach Top and Miranda Lambert in Lubbock, Zach Bryan receiving flack for weather delays at his Memorial Stadium show, Arlington, Texas’ Lonestar Smokeout festival getting cancelled in its second night and forcing Koe Wetzel to play a pop-up show and Stagecoach rocking the entire weekend out in Indio, California, there were a lot of emerging storylines to keep up with. Unsurprisingly, Stagecoach this year was quite eventful. Ella Langley would get things started by surprising fans with Theo Von for a performance of her smash hit with Riley Green, “you look like you love me” early on Friday. On Saturday, the pride of West Virginia himself, Charles Wesley Godwin, would also turn heads during his set by announcing a brand new single with none other than Luke Combs. Couple that with Riley Green, Chase Rice, Diplo and more teaming up with Sydney Sweeney for some karaoke after high winds forced some sets to be cancelled night one, and you have yourself a weekend for the ages. Just when you thought all the surprise collaborations were over with Stagecoach wrapping up on Sunday, Post Malone decided to keep the trend going and then some when he headlined the final night of the festival. Continuing his tradition of pulling out some classic, out-of-left-field covers, Post would start his set with none other than Craig Morgan’s 2006 hit, “International Harvester.” Later in the set, he’d also pull out a wide variety of covers of John Michael Montgomery’s “I Swear,” Garth Brooks’ “Rodeo,” Hank Williams Jr.’s “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight” as well as George Strait’s “Give It Away” with the red-hot Jake Worthington. @licksnclips Post Malone and Jake Worthington cover Give It Away by George Strait #Stagecoach #PostMalone #GeorgeStrait #JakeWorthington @Jake Worthington @Post Malone @stagecoach ♬ original sound – LicksNClips Shortly after bringing out Worthington for the cover, the “I Had Some Help” singer would then surprise the crowd by bringing out Braxton Keith for a performance of his 2024 breakout hit, “Cozy,” which would later become the rising star’s first certified gold single. Before Keith took the stage, Post would deliver some high praise for him. In addition to praising his signature mustache, he’d also tell the crowd that the “I Own This Bar” singer is making “some of the coolest songs lately.” “Talented, handsome, mustachioed gentleman. I wish he would let me borrow some of his wax or his beef tallow to get my mustache popping like this. This young man has made some of the coolest songs lately, and I’m so very excited to welcome [him] to the stage.” @licksnclips Post Malone & Braxton Keith | Cozy #stagecoach #BraxtonKeith ♬ original sound – LicksNClips As usual, you can feel whichever type of way about Post’s venture into country music over the past two years. As time passes, however, it has become increasingly clear that he has a deep love and respect for the genre as a whole. It’s one thing to pull out a classic cover every now and again, but it becomes a different thing entirely when he’s continually shown that he is in tune with the current state of the genre. Bringing out red-hot young stars like Keith and Worthington simply continues to prove this notion, in my opinion.
