Inaugural Royal Enfield Himalayan Base Camp: Three Days of Adventure in the Himalayas
The Royal Enfield Himalayan takes its name from this adventure destination. It was updated in 2024 with a liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine to replace the previous air-cooled Single, an added 6th gear, suspension and braking upgrades, and a visual update.
Adventure seekers can find like-minded riders at the Royal Enfield Himalayan Base Camp, a three-day gathering in Leh, Ladakh, in India, taking place Sept. 4-6, 2026. Registration is now open.

This inaugural event is for those who like to participate in the fun more than watch from the sidelines. Leh is set at 11,480 feet and provides ample opportunity for adventure of all kinds. The event will include curated expeditions, skill-based workshops, expert-led sessions, and hands-on challenges.
Other activities include hiking Ladakh’s high-altitude terrain, kayaking the Indus and Zanskar rivers, mountain biking, rafting, overlanding, bouldering on over 500 world-class problems, a Navigation Challenge that sends riders in search of hidden GPS coordinates, cold exposure sessions, guided sunrise meditation sessions, guided photography workshops, and more.
On the event’s website, you can also browse through group rides from regions around India to ride in to Base Camp together. You can also head to Royal Enfield’s YouTube channel to find a playlist of ADV tutorials to prepare yourself for the adventure. The “ABC of Adventure” podcast is another great place to learn more about adventure riding in the Himalayas and to hear tips and tricks from seasoned high-altitude explorers.
“The Himalayan Base Camp is a rendezvous point for all adventurers, regardless of whether they are driven by horsepower, willpower, or their own two feet,” said Mohit Dhar Jayal, chief brand officer of Royal Enfield. “The program combines action, instruction, and a variety of expeditions that will take adventurers out of their comfort zone – and bring them back to base with a whole new set of skills and experiences.”
The event is open to attendees of all ages. Festival passes are available now for 1,499 rupees, about $16 USD.
