Inconsiderate Or Iconic? Concert Goer Strikes Up Heated Debate Over Bringing A Step Stool To The Pit
Inconsiderate or iconic?
We all know that fighting for the perfect view in a pit is a true concert art form. Between finding a spot that makes you feel like you are as close to the stage as possible, if you’re vertically challenged (like me), you also have to find a prime location that allows you to… well, see the stage ahead of the crowd in front of you.
And there is no worse feeling than having that perfect viewing spot, only for the crowd to shift so a super tall person is standing in front of you, and you end up having to crane your head around them the entire concert.
Recently, a woman who attended JazzFest might have found the best hack for gaining a prime viewing spot from the pit. However, her ways are also deemed as diabolical to some, as well, including a person standing behind her during Stevie Nicks’ set.
Captured by a user named @happygohalle on TikTok, the video shows a woman bringing a small foldable step stool into the pit with her, giving her a few extra inches of height to see over the masses in front of her. The woman stood on the stool next to her man, making her the same height as the man.
Happygohallie shared the video, noting how inconsiderate the move was for the woman, blocking her view of the stage.
“Pretty sure I just found the most inconsiderate person alive.”
However, given that the woman is no taller than the man standing next to her, it did not take long for others to flock to the comment section defending her choice:
“Even with the stool she’s about the same height as everyone else so how would it be inconsiderate?”
“She’s literally the same height as everyone else? What is the issue?”
“I’m just mad I didn’t think of it first.”
“As someone who is 5’1 and can hardly ever see. The hat is annoying but the stool is genius.”
“I’m on her side.”
“Inconsiderate or iconic?”
“Honestly, I think the stool is completely fine, the hat should come off tho.”
“I stood on a water bottle at an Eminem concert for two hours just so I could see over the people in front of me!.”
“As a short person, this is genius.”
“Oh, she’s a genius for that. Good for her.”
“As a short person, this is valid.”
“I think someone’s jealous.”
“I’m on her side, that’s genius. She’s now as tall as everyone else.”
I have to admit… I’m on the side of those in the comments section. Given that this woman is no taller than the man next to her, I don’t think she’s in the wrong, and using a step stool like this is way more considerate than getting on someone’s shoulders to see what’s happening on stage. Could she take off her hat to alleviate a little bit of her added height? Sure. But is this a heinous crime? No.
Look for yourself and decide if you think this is inconsiderate or iconic.
@happygohalle Honestly can’t tell if this was genius or insane #fyp #insane #trending ♬ original sound – Shelby Willis
