Nick Saban’s Daughter Says She Called & Texted “Anyone And Everyone” To Make Her Dad’s Walkout With Morgan Wallen Happen

Feel like he was the only choice. Morgan Wallen brought his Still The Problem tour to Bryant-Denny Stadium at the University of Alabama last month, and as soon as the show was announced everybody knew who was at the top of the list do accompany Morgan for his signature “Broadway Girls” walkout: Legendary former Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban. Of course there are plenty of current and former Alabama football players Morgan could have chosen, or even current head coach Kalen DeBoer. But (other than the late Bear Bryant) there’s nobody in Alabama history bigger or more popular than Saban, so anybody else Morgan would have invited would have seemed like a little bit of a disappointment in comparison. Luckily, Morgan delivered for Alabama fans and was indeed joined by Saban for his walkout, which had the entire stadium (and the internet) absolutely ERUPTING. @whiskeyriff @morganwallen #whiskeyriff #nicksaban ♬ original sound – Concert Views And as it turns out, it wasn’t just fans who were wanting to see Saban walking out with Morgan: It was also his daughter, Kristen Saban. In a video of the electric walkout, Kristen revealed that after the concert was announced, she immediately began working the phones to get her dad in the tunnel with Morgan: “When MW announced his show at BDS, I called and texted anyone and everyone I knew to get this to happen. Hands down one of the coolest things to have a small hand in. You’re a rockstar, Sabes.” @kristen.saban I just HAD to help make this happen. #alabamafootball #nicksaban #morganwallen #sabanfield #rolltide @morganwallen ♬ original sound – Kristen Saban Pretty awesome. Speaking on his experience at the concert during an appearance on The Paul Finebaum Show, Saban (who has now transitioned into a media career, but still lives in Tuscaloosa) thoroughly enjoyed the walk out mainly because he wasn’t coaching a football game that night: “That’s the first time I’ve ever walked down that tunnel and there was no consequence in terms of winning and losing a game, so that was fun.” Though he wasn’t in coaching mode, and hasn’t been since he retired in early 2024, Nick Saban still flipped the switch while he was backstage. He told Paul Finebaum that he embraced hanging out backstage with Morgan Wallen and his band. They were situated in the home locker room, which Saban is obviously plenty familiar with. Once he found out that a lot of Wallen’s crew is made up of former athletes, he decided to pull out a classic, Alabama pep-talk for the country music star: “I really enjoyed having the time backstage with those guys, which was the locker room. That was our locker room. Great band, great group of guys. Lot of them were former athletes. It was a lot of fun. They actually got in a big huddle and I gave them a halftime a**-chewing, told them they needed to get in gear.” Nick Saban to @finebaum on Morgan Wallen walkout: "That's the first time I've ever walked down that tunnel and there was no consequence in terms of winning and losing a game, so that was fun." While he was joined by Jack Eichel and Noah Hanifin from the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday, Morgan walked out solo on Friday night – and revealed to the crowd that he had asked several people, but they all bailed at the last minute: “I gotta say too, y’all got some flaky-a** people in this town. I had like five different people lined up to do the walkout & they all bailed on me last minute… so I’m doing what I can, I promise man.” @kirstymcg4 Morgan Wallen calls his Vegas pals flakey hahah #morganwallen #morganwallenconcert ♬ original sound – Kirsty McG Hey, not everybody shows up like Saban. The post Nick Saban’s Daughter Says She Called & Texted “Anyone And Everyone” To Make Her Dad’s Walkout With Morgan Wallen Happen first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
